Brown & Newirth® was established in 1967 in the bustling diamond hub of London; Hatton Garden by two passionate jewellers; Eddie Brown & Isaac Newirth, who gave the company their family names.
During the very early days Brown & Newirth® were dealing in one-off commissions, sourcing diamonds and other precious gemstones specifically for each client, working with local jewellers to craft engagement & cocktail rings and fine jewellery. Brown & Newirth® however would soon become synonymous with wedding rings…
The 80’s would see pop culture, politics and technology change the world we live in. Brown & Newirth® took a risk and made its own changes that would put everything on the line by embracing the new modern technology and techniques.
The risk paid off and the new tooling enabled the company for the very first time to produce the highest quality wedding rings the market had ever seen, each crafted from a single, solid piece of metal. By the 90’s Brown & Newirth® had established itself as the number one wedding ring company in the UK…
In 1999 Brown & Newirth® left its London home to set up in a purpose built jewellery manufacturing centre just north of the city in Hertfordshire where it stays to this day.
The move would create more opportunity as the company grew, developing market leading CNC technology and quickly establishing itself as the go-to diamond ring manufacturer in the UK. Heading into the millennium it continued to push boundaries investing in technology that enhanced quality & preciseness whilst never wavering from its core to handcraft every piece to order.
2015 saw the launch of the first Brown & Newirth Boutique® in Lumbers Jewellers, Leicester creating the ultimate jewellery buying experience in luxurious surroundings; another first for the UK jewellery industry. In 2023, Brown & Newirth Boutiques® are located at over 30 premium independent jewellers nationwide.
Not satisfied by sitting still, in 2022 Brown & Newirth® tapped in to laboratory grown diamond technology with its Created® Collection. Today, one in two diamond engagement rings produced by the company use these stones that deliver incredible quality and value for money for customers, continuing to handcraft every piece to order using traditional and modern techniques.
