The Most Popular Time to Propose is Fast Arriving!
Although a common assumption and not far behind, valentine’s day isn’t actually the most popular time for a proposal but Christmas Day takes the top spot with an estimated 100,000 proposals happening over the festive period of 2018 according to Bridebook.com.
This is expected to be even higher this year with lockdown fast-tracking relationships, couples are spending more time together than ever before, some even working from the same kitchen table.
According to Wedding Wire the most popular days to pop the question are:
#1 Christmas Day
With family already gathered, what better time to celebrate?
#2 Christmas Eve
Often following a meal some families will open gifts on Christmas Eve and a ring sure beats some socks!
#3 New Year’s Day
Maybe it’s the romance of the fireworks or the promise of new beginnings but a beautiful way to enter the new year.
#4 The Sunday Before Christmas
Kicking off the holiday festivities with the commitment of a lifetime is a guaranteed way to set up the Christmas cheer.
#5 Valentine’s Day
The true holiday of love and the perfect time to really show your other half you’re in it for the long haul.
With this in mind, 40% of proposals happen between December and February the 14th with the summer months being most popular for weddings (under normal circumstances of course).
